Protection of Children using Drugs Program 
- An act that allows legal guardians of a child 
to ask the court for a protection order over their child who is under the age of 18 and believed to be at risk or causing harm to themselves or to others due to the use of alcohol or drugs. If granted, the child would be taken to a safe house for detoxification, stabilization, and assessment.

​​Alberta’s Virtual Opioid Dependency Program (VODP):  1-844-383-7688  
The VODP program uses technology to connect clients with the care that they need. In addition to the services Rural Opioid Dependency Program (RODP) provided, VODP can provide same-day medication starts and also help connect you with other care providers through its transitions program and ongoing opioid dependency care (seven days per week). Emergency physician after hours access:​ 1-403-783-7770

​Naloxone Care - An online learning portal for learning about the opioid crisis, to train individuals to recognize the signs and symptoms of opioid overdose and how to properly use the potentially lifesaving medication Naloxone.
