Alberta Adult Health Benefits - Health benefits for Albertan in low income households who are pregnant or have high ongoing prescription drug needs. It includes children who are 18-19 years old if they are living at home and attending high school.
Canadian Dental Care Plan- A federal government program that provides a subsidy for Canadian residents who do not have benefits and have an adjusted household income of less than $90,000 a year.
Alberta Child Health Benefit - Low income families can apply to this program to get eyeglasses, prescription drugs, and dental care for their kids.
Interim Federal Health Program - Limited, temporary coverage of health-care benefits for specific groups of people in Canada who don’t have provincial, territorial, or private health-care coverage.
Alberta Seniors Benefit- Seniors with low-income can get financial assistance to help with monthly living expenses.
Child and Youth Support Program - Adult caregivers can apply for financial and medical benefits for a child if the child’s parents or guardians cannot care for the child.

The LDFB is operated on an appointment only basis for food hampers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed holidays). Intake calls are completed in the morning and appointments are scheduled for the same afternoon. The food bank does not prebook appointments. Meals on Wheels - Delivers meals at a low cost to those in need. Contact your local FCSS office to find out who to contact in your area for this service. This service may not be available in all areas.

With the WeCan Food Basket Society, families and individuals can buy fresh meat and produce each month for more than 25 per cent off retail grocery store prices. Orders may be dropped off to the food bank by the first Friday of the month and picked up at the food bank by the third Thursday of the month.

Donations are also accepted.
